WOFAN receives 2014 Most Agric Friendly NGO AWard in Nigeria

The Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL Ltd/Gte) in Nigeria  and the Economic committee of West Africa the ECOWAS has given an award to the Women Farmers Advancement Network –WOFAN as the 2014 agric friendly NGO in Nigeria for reaching out  and supporting over 5 million rural women and youths in 6 Northern states  of Nigeria between 1993 to 2015. 

WOFAN trains 40 women Farmers on operation and maintenance of power Tillers in Kano state

As part of efforts to support smallholder women farmers to scale up their income from groundnut production, WOFAN has trained 40 women on the handling and maintenance of simple hand operated power tillers.

WOFAN supports 1000 parents and Caregivers of 4000 Orphans in GWARZO LGA of Kano state

WOFAN/ STEER project and ICRISAT supported 1000 Orphans caregivers with agricultural input and fertilizer to increase productivity, income and family nutrition of 4000 orphans in 10 communities of GWARZO LGA in Kano State.

WOFAN launches Women and Youths Skills Acquisition Center in Kumbotso LGA, Kano state

The Women Farmers Advancement Networks (WOFAN) has launched Women and Youths Skills Acquisition Center in July 2015  at Panshekara, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano state.

Ramadan Sales at WOFAN

During the Ramadan period  the prices of basic commodities are expected to increase due to increasing demand, therefore, Women Farmers advancement Networks(WOFAN) began what it calls’ Ramadan Sales’ of its processed products at discounted rate.
